Great experience mostly minus the transport.
We have our Great Dane and are a so very happy. However the journey to get him home was bumpy. The first dog we picked had a parasite issue which pushed his delivery date back. When the new date neared they told us that he still wasn’t well enough to travel. Knowing medications should have cleared him by then unless the issue was severe which made us question the breeding practices and environment in which the puppy was being raised, we opted to pass on that breeder. We decided to go with a champion bloodline being that we had a better chance of the breeder properly caring for their puppies. We had a much smoother experience after choosing a new puppy. However when our puppy arrived he did not seem well. The driver rang our door bell and as soon as I stepped down to see our puppy in the crate, the crate was pretty hot to the touch. I didn’t understand how the crate could be at this temperature when he was in the car just moments before. Upon further inspection of the zip lock bag of puppy kibble that was duck taped to the crape we notice that the tape had melted to the bag. All signs pointed to our puppy being left in very hot temperatures at some point. He was very lethargic. And while we were well familiar with hypoglycemia in small breed dogs and travel we gave him something for it and didn’t make much difference. So we then gave him water which he drank as if his life depended on it. We had to slow down on it as he was just sucking it down. After a few hours he came to life. I immediately contacted Great Dane home and later the breeder who was very upset. Great Dane home themselves were great but I seriously think they need to pay more attention on who they have delivering their puppies. Also, a better explanation of just what you are getting from the AKC. Another thing that I was unhappy with was that the first free vet visit is only with select places in PetSmart. It was only a drop off appointment and would not let me be with my puppy so I opted to take him to our vet instead. With how expensive these puppies are Puppyspot at the very least could cover your first vet visit with Any vet of your choosing.

My fiancé and I had the BESTTT experience with Great Danes home! We are first time puppy owners – we have never bought or taken care of a puppy on our own before although we grew up with dogs and the way the breeder has raised our Dane, Norah is incredible. She was already socialized and eager to learn. We completely potty trained our pup in two weeks! She loves people and especially kids! She is an amazing puppy and becoming a great and obedient doggy 🙂 The service from the puppy managers are amazing since I’m pretty OCD – they have always been responsive and supportive. Would buy another puppy from Great Danes home for sure!!!!

Great experience through the entire process
We had to have him flown in and the process was very smooth and the chaperone sent us pictures of him along the trip. He’s very healthy and was obviously well socialised with people. He was already partially potty trained so the adjustment was easy with very few accidents but we did get him close to 6 months old.

My experience with Great Danes home went exactly as they described. They kept me informed of the puppy’s growth and weight up until time to ship. It was new to us buying a puppy on the internet as there are so many scams out there. Quincy is our fourth puppy. We found that meeting the breeder and selecting your new family member is best done face-to-face. That way you can have “pick of the litter” and see the environment of the breeding place and the folks who run it. I must say though, that we had a very good experience with Great Danes home. Our focus right now is housebreaking, socializing, and basic training while keeping up with his rigorous vaccination schedule. Thank you for all your help and assurances as we navigated these unchartered waters. Quincy will have the best home imaginable with us. Thanks again!

My puppy arrived with diarrhea. I was told he was house broken but might have some “accident”. He was not housebroken. I was very unhappy to learn I had to pick him up in a different state. With the cost of gas and a motel room, it added $400.00 to the cost of my puppy.

Received my pup and the same day he had diarrhea. Took a sample to Vet next day. Memorial day holiday slowed the results down, but turned out he had Giardia, a parasite, in his excrement. I think that should have been detected before delivery. Good pup, though I wish they hadn’t taken two and a half weeks to deliver him after purchase.

Lincoln log the weiner dog
We found Lincoln when we were scrolling through google images reminiscing about our 17 year old dog who had just passed. We were planning on waiting 6 months before getting a new puppy, but there was something about Lincoln and we wanted to know more. The Puppy Manager, Brad, spoke to us about the breed and our experience and offered to put a hold on Lincoln so we could think about it. Two hours later we decided to bring this little snuggler into our family. From the initial conversation through finally bringing g him home Puppy Spot has been awesome.
